A 20-year-old Marine corporal, Eric Jamal Johnson was arrested Tuesday in Arizona in the shooting death of a University of North Texas student on New Year’s Day, Denton police said.
Johnson was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service in Yuma, Ariz., on a murder warrant.
Sara Mutschlechner, 20, was shot early New Year’s Day while she was driving a group of people on North Elm Street in Denton.
