A drunk man killed himself while hugging a fire cracker in Philippines

A man who was drunk died after hugging an exploding firecracker during a party in the Philippines. The 45-year-old Ronald Vericio suffered several injuries as a result of the explosion.
He was rushed to the Ospital ng Sampaloc after the incident and was later transferred to the Ospital ng Maynila, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses told investigators that Vericio was drunk and was not aware that the firecracker had been lit. The secretary of the Health Ministry, Janet disclosed the drunk man hugged the giant firecracker called ‘Goodbye Philippines’ as it was about to explode.
