Arsenal are set to allow midfielder Aaron Ramsey to leave for Barcelona this summer, according to the Express. According to reports Barca were interested in the Welshman and now it would appear they have stepped up their chase.
It was revealed that Barcelona sent scouts to Arsenal's 3-3 draw at Liverpool and have named Ramsey one of their prime transfer targets for the summer.
Barca attempted to sign the midfielder in the last transfer window but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger turned away all advances.
But according to sources at the Express, the Gunners will not deny Ramsey the opportunity of joining the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar at the Nou Camp next season.
Ramsey is reportedly also excited by the chance to play for one of the biggest teams in the world but nothing will be finalised until after next summer’s European Championships in France allowing him to focus on Wales.
Barcelona know they will have to part with a fee in the region of between £50m to £60m but they are fully committed to that in the belief that Ramsey can help them continue the club’s amazing success.
