'All My Children's Jennifer Bassey was kicked off a flight from New York after she was deemed a "flight risk" following an altercation with a flight attendant.
The 72-year-old actress tells E! that the ordeal was "undignified, embarrassing and beyond stressful."
Bassey, who played Marian Colby on the soap for 25 years, was flying to Indianapolis.
The plane was delayed on the tarmac when the actress used one of the restrooms but didn't wash her hands.
"She asked me loudly three times, 'Ma'am did you wash your hands?'" Bassey says of the flight attendant.
Bassey told her that she preferred hand sanitizer to soap and would be using that instead. But when she returned to her seat and took out her laptop, the flight attendant yelled at her.
"She stood there next to me waiting for me until I put it away," Bassey says. She then started screaming, "Don't touch me! Don't ever touch me!"
Bassey says that's when she told her: "Go f--- yourself!"
Things escalated when another flight attendant came and said she shouldn't be arguing or using foul language near a child. The plane was turned around to the gate and police officers escorted her off deeming her a "risk."
"It was all unfortunate, but I am a senior citizen who is petite and tiny. How could I assault someone?," she says.
