Mayweather beats Pacquiaio in a unanimous decision

The boxing much anticipated bout and the "fight of the century" has come and gone with America's Floyd Mayweather jnr in an unquestionable victory over Manny Pacquiao on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden.



Judge Dave Moretti had it 10 rounds to two, or 118-110 for Mayweather. Judges Glenn Feldman and Burt Clements each saw it 116-112, giving Mayweather eight of the 12 rounds.

“He’s a tough competitor," said Mayweather. Now Mayweather has proved to be the greatest boxer of the century, with 48-0 record, only one more win to match 49-0 record of former heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano.

Now here is what Pacquiaio had to say:

"I thought I caught him many more times than he caught me," Pacquiao said. "I was never hurt. I was very surprised by the scores. I thought I hit him much more than he hit me." He said. See more photos below…
