Depp got into a trouble earlier this month after bringing pet dogs Pistol and Boo on his private jet to Australia, without the necessary permits.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star was told to get his animals back to the United States or risk them being euthanized.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports there is an investigation into the incident and Depp could either face prison or a maximum fine of $340,000.
"There is a process, you get the permits, they go into quarantine, then you can have them," Australia's agriculture minister Barnaby Joyce explained at the time.
"If we start letting movie stars, even though they've been the sexiest man alive twice, to come into our nation, why don't we just break the laws for everybody?"
Also his pilot could also face up to two years in prison for his role in the undeclared importing of the dogs.
