El-Rufai appoints new secretaries ahead of inauguration

The Kaduna State governor elect, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has appointed Malam Balarabe Abbas-Lawal as Secretary to the State Government ahead of the May 29 inauguration day.


The newly appointed Abbas-Lawal, was the Chief of Staff to El-Rufai, when the Governor-elect was Minister of the FCT. He also chaired the All Progressives Congress- Kaduna Transition Committee.

In a statement by El-Rufai on Wednesday, he also named Malam Salisu Suleiman as his Principal Private Secretary while Mr. Abu Sheyin will serve as Private Secretary to the Deputy Governor-elect, Mr. Barnabas Bala.

The former FCT minister also announced the appointment of Mr. Bala Yunusa as Deputy Chief of Staff (Legislative Affairs) and Mr. Samuel Aruwan as Special Assistant on Media to the Governor.
