Achievements of the GEJ Administration in EDO. (PDP)

I am a witness to some of the projects . Read below.

Since taking office, President Goodluck Jonathan has followed through on the ambitious plans laid out in his Transformation Agenda, delivering significant achievements across all states of the nation.

Below are some of his many achievements in EdoState:

Agriculture:

- Rehabilitated oil palm plantation in Edo state to increase yield in oil palm production and boost employment in the state.

- Ended four decades of corruption in the fertilizer sector. Implemented the e – wallet system for the distribution of agricultural inputs to farmers.

- Implemented Dry Season farming projects.

Aviation:

-Remodeled the Federal Airport in Benin.

- installed Low level wind shear alert system (LLWAS), Automatic Weather Observation & Displays System (AWODS), Aeronautical Information System (AIS) Automation, World Geodetic Survey WGS-84 and restored fire hydrants to improve aviation safety.

Environment:

- Established a web-based flood early warning system in Benin, which has aided flood control.

- Implemented land reclamation and Erosion Control works project at Igonton – Igbanke and Iyom/Okhelen – Awo road Uromi.

Health:

- Rehabilitated and equipped the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).

- Established a stem cell transplant centre at UBTH.

- Modernized Irua Specialist Teaching Hospital.

- Provided equipment for laparoscopic Surgery at UBTH.

- Established the SURE-P Project on Primary Health Care.

Transport:

- Constructed jetty at Agenebode to boost inland water transportation.

Water:

- Constructed Northern Ishan Water Supply projects.

- Constructed ojirami water supply project.

-Constructed Okpilla water supply scheme, Hydrometric Momitoring Station, Iguoriakhi, Hydrometric Momitoring Station, Ugonoba and Drainage & land reclamation structure at Ilushi-Ega.

Roads:

- Reconstructed the Benin-Ore-Sagamu Expressway.

- Commenced reconstruction of the Lokoja-Benin Road, which is ongoing.

- Reconstructed the Ewu – Uromi – Agbor road, which was previously in deplorable condition.

- Conducted emergency reinstatement of washout/gully erosion at KM 127 + 000 at Auchi along Okene – Benin road and 14 + 000 Km along Auchi Agenebode Road.

- Rehabilitated and dualized Benin – Auchi road.

Power:

- Established Ihovbor power Station (451 MW).

- Construction of 1 x 60 MVA , 132/ 33kv Substation reinforcement at Ukpilla substation and 2nd Benin – Onitha 330kv single – Circuit line.

Youth Empowerment:

- Launched YouWIN grants, which have been awarded to youths in the state.

- Launched the SURE-P youth empowerment scheme.
