Ekiti appoints new Auditor-GeneralGeneral


The Ekiti State Government has appointed Mr. Daniel Kayode as the Auditor-General of the state.

According to a statement by the Head of Service of the state, Dr. Olugbenga Faseluka, the appointment takes immediate effect.

Kayode, who was born on December 12, 1960, joined the Civil Service of the old Ondo State as an Auditor II on January 12, 1987 and had in the past served in different capacities including holding the position of Director (Audit) in the Auditor-General’s office.

He had occupied the office of Auditor-General of the state in acting capacity since August 2014 when his predecessor retired from office.

The graduate of Economics from the University of Jos holds some professional qualifications including that of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria.

He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria as well as member of Institute of Costs and Management Accountants.
